Everything you need to know about section 80g of income tax
Section 80g of the Income Tax Act is the provision where the taxpayer can claim deduction on donation given to those charitable institutions which are recognized as such. Deduction depends on the proportion, e.g. some gifts get deduction to 100% and some to 50% and whether or not it is limited. Claiming of benefits also requires proper receipt and documentation. This part promotes charity and tax breaks to the donors.
